As a wedding photographer I see a lot of weddings in a year. I see them big and small, extravagant and minimalist. One of the highlights of my job is when I get to see a wedding that is so unique!
Dana and Mehdi were married at a super intimate ceremony in their backyard. The wedding, like the couple, was low-key, full of earnest love and surrounded by close family and friends. This is the type of wedding photography I absolutely love—full of DIY touches, handmade charm, deep sentimentality and a palatable feeling that this moment is essential and honest.
Despite the sweltering heat the couple kept it cool in progressive and unpretentious fashion. The couple and guests shared an intimate meal under that big Alberta sky.
Best of all (at least for their wedding photographer), was a quick drive at sunset to capture some amazing shots of a couple wrapped up in love, and stunning light.
Dana and Mehdi, and of course one-year old Kashy—it was an incredible honour to be a part of your big day! Small, intimate weddings are something you really can’t replicate and I’m so glad to have been your wedding photographer to help you capture all the amazing details.
